Aqaba’s ASEZA discusses cooperation with Roma Tre University

P(ANSA) – Rome, April 14 – Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority (ASEZA) Chief Commissioner Kamel Mahadin on Saturday met with Roma Tre University President Mario Panizza to discuss ways to develop cooperation in training and expertise. Mahadin invited media and architecture students from the Italian university to visit Aqaba in the summer to examine its architecture and attend lectures.BRDiscussions also covered the possibility of sending Jordanian students to the university to benefit from its architectural expertise. Mahadin said that ASEZA is committed to the development of its education sector and capitalizing on the Jordan University in Aqaba and the Al Balqa Applied University in Aqaba by exploring cooperation possibilities with a number of well-respected universities from all over the world. He added that ASEZA prioritizes investment in human capital.BRMahadin called for the establishment of a student-exchange scholarship program for architecture students from both Aqaba and Rome, as well as for media and journalism students.BRAccording to the commissioner, the visit was aimed at establishing cooperation between ASEZA, which is striving to transform Aqaba into a world-class business hub and leisure destination on the Red Sea, and the Roman university, which is one of Europe’s most prestigious universities.BRPanizza spoke of the importance of cooperation between the two parties and expressed interest in Aqaba’s attributes for tourism and in the unique culture, history and heritage of the region.BRThe meeting was also attended by Dr. Cristina Bidoni from Roma Tre University.BR/P
