Belgian student critical after fall

P(ANSA) – Palermo, April 23 – A Belgian student was in a serious condition in a Palermo hospital on Wednesday after falling from a hotel balcony during a school trip.BRAntoine Dominique Mignolet, aged 20, fell from the balcony of his room at the Saracen di Isola delle Femmine hotel after climbing over the railing in an attempt to reach the adjacent balcony. The student was taken to Villa Sofia hospital with concussion and a brain haemorrage. The incident comes after another foreign student was critically injured and died during a school trip in Italy.BROn April 8, a 16-year-old Swiss student died in Rome after being pierced during a knife-throwing game with fellow students on a school trip. Those students were staying in a facility run by nuns in the capital’s western Aurelia district.BR/P
