The bike path would run across the Freedom Bridge, currently limited to automobile and rail traffic, as well as a seldom-used sidewalk. Officials plan to unveil the new bike path in September 2014, when a tram link is also scheduled to launch. Cyclists will still be obliged to walk once they reach the Medieval city, where cycling and driving is banned.
