Italy’s tax man told to go soft on Sophia Loren
(ANSA) – Rome, October 23 – The Italian supreme Cassation Court on Wednesday gave actress Sophia Loren a break when it ruled a 1984 tax amnesty is applicable to her 1974 income.
By making the amnesty retroactive, the Supreme Court is in effect allowing the Oscar winner to pay taxes on a lesser amount than her declared income.
