Parmalat net profit gains 13% in first nine months of 2013
(ANSA) – Milan, November 8 – Parmalat, Italy’s largest dairy company, posted a 13% increase in net profit in the first nine months of the year to 159 million euros, compared with 140 million euros in the year-earlier period. Sales in the period jumped 4.9%, to 3.87 billion euros. The company said it expected 2013 sales to gain 3% and gross operating profit to gain 5%, stripping out the effects of exchange-rate fluctuations and a changing activities perimeter, and excluding the effects of hyperinflation.
