Renzi to name new bosses of State-controlled firms
P(ANSA) – Rome, April 14 – Italian Premier Matteo Renzi was due to make his first appointments to run some of the country’s publicly owned businesses on Monday. Renzi has made it known that he is looking to replace managers who have been at their posts for more than three terms, most likely with women, as the center-left reformer aims to increase gender parity in the board room. One woman expected to receive a top post is Patrizia Grieco, the president of tech firm Olivetti, who pundits predict may take the helm of postal service Poste Italiane. Expected to continue running electric utility Enel is CEO Francesco Starace, while energy giant Enel is likely to see Claudio Descalzi promoted from general manager to CEO, business watchers say.BR/P
